The Haryana Undergraduate Admission Registration 2026 deadline has been extended till July 12, 2026. This action is taken by the Department of Higher Education for admissions to government colleges in Haryana. The revised admission schedule will be out soon on the official website. This time there are high chances of more vacant seats in the government college. As the students are more attracted towards professional courses and science courses as compared to the basic and standard courses like BA or BCom.

As BBA and BCA are becoming more popular courses. The government PG College has received many applications the bifurcation can be seen below:

  • For BBA course 121 application has been received, which represent 302% of 40 seats in BBA
  • For BCA course 273 applications were received, which represent 682 percent of the total.
  • For BSc Life Science 416 applications received, which is 260% for 160 seats
  • For BSc Physical Science 554 applications, which shows 138% for 400 seats

At the government college the more seats are vacant for BA programme rather than BCom, the interest is more for the BA course, check the table below for clear insight:

Course

Seat

Application Received

BA

660 seats

1026 applications

BCom

40 seats

97 application

The data below presented is for the Government Women's College is different, check out the table below:

Course

Seat

Application Received

BA

800 seats

692 applications

BCom

160 seats

119 application

This shows, women are now majorly shifting from the traditional courses and focusing on science and employment oriented courses. Least interest was shown in BSc Mathematics by women's college students. They are choosing courses that gives more career options.
