Students Anxious and NTA, BCECE clashing dates for key Entrance Exams
Students raise concerns after NTA and BCECE 2026 entrance exam schedules reportedly overlap on May 30, creating confusion for aspirants.
A fresh wave of concern has surfaced among entrance exam aspirants after candidates noticed a clash of exam dates released by the National Testing Agency, NTA and the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, BCECEB. Students preparing for multiple exams are saying that the overlapping timings may affect their performances and their chances of admission opportunities at their desired colleges and universities. As per the BCECE 2026 schedule mentioned on the admit cards, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology examinations will be conducted on May 30, 2026, in multiple shifts. Biology is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM on the same day, while Agriculture Science will be held on May 31, 2026.
On the other hand, the NTA exam admit card shared by candidates also shows that Biology or Biological Science, Biotechnology and Biochemistry stream papers are also scheduled on May 30, 2026, and coincidentally share the same time with a difference of just one hour from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Students have also pointed out that the timings clash directly with the BCECE Biology examination, making it difficult for some candidates to appear in both exams.
Candidates Seek Clarification on Clashing Entrance Exam Dates
Lakhs of students every year prepare for months for both the state-level and national-level exams to increase their chances of admission to the prestigious universities and colleges to pursue their higher education. With this clash of exam dates of the science paper, many students have also requested the respective authorities to either revise the schedule or provide an alternative arrangement.
The exam date clash of BCECE and NTA has especially affected the students appearing for science and biology-related courses. Candidates have also highlighted that the reporting times and travel between different exam centres will also further complicate the situation.
So far, neither NTA nor BCECEB has announced any official change in the examination schedule.
