KCET 2026 Ranks to Be Revised After Class 12 Revaluation; KEA Asks Candidates to Submit Updated Marksheets by July 6

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that it will revise the KCET 2026 merit ranks for candidates whose Class 12 marks have changed following the revaluation or correction process. Eligible candidates are required to submit their revised marksheets to the KEA Office in Bengaluru for verification before 6th July 2026.
The move comes after several students received the updated Class 12 results through the revaluation process, which could affect their KCET Merit Rankings used for admission to engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and other professional courses in Karnataka.
Who needs to Submit Revised Marksheets?
Candidates from CBSE, CISCE, various State Boards whose Class 12 marks have been revised after revaluation or correction are eligible for rank revision. Those candidates must submit a copy of their updates marksheet in person at the KEA Office located in Bengaluru between 4th to 6th July 2026.
Why are KCET 2026 Ranks being Revised?
KCET Ranks are prepared using a 50:50 weightage formula. 50% Marks is given to the candidate’s KCET Score which is out of 180. Whereas 50% weightage is based on the Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which is out of 300. As a result, any increase in Class 12 marks after revaluation directly impacts the overall merit score any may improve a candidate’s KCET Rank.
