Directorate of Technical Education, DoTE, Tamil Nadu, has commenced the online registration process for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, TNEA 2026. Aspirants looking to secure a seat in undergraduate engineering programs, B.E, B.Tech across the government, government-aided, and self-financing colleges in the state can now submit their applications. The single window counselling process will manage admissions for over two lakh seats across 400-plus colleges affiliated with Anna University.
TNEA 2026 Eligibility and Application Process
To be eligible for TNEA 2026, candidates must have passed their Class 12th, HSC, or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum aggregate marks required in these subjects are 45% for the General category and 40% for the reserved category, BC, BCM, DNC, SC, SCA, ST.

Candidates must visit tneaonline.org or dte.tn.gov.in to register. The application fee is Rs. 500 for General category students and Rs. 250 for SC, SCA, and ST candidates. After the registration, candidates are required to upload important documents, including their 10th and 12th mark sheets, Transfer Certificate, TC, and Community Certificate, if applicable, for online verification.
