Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be speaking on Education, Skills and University Townships in a post-budget webinar to be held today, March 9, 2026. Discussions will be held on key initiatives announced in the Union Budget 2026-27. 

Stakeholders, including educational institutions, industry bodies, startups, creators, students, paretns and professionals from the AVGC sector are also encouraged to join the webinar and participate in the discussions. 

The webinar titled "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas - Fulfilling Aspirations of People: Education, Skills and University Townships," is being conducted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education. The webinar will have key policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, startups and students to deliberate on implementing pathways to strengthen India's education, skills and creative economy ecosystem.

According to the schedule available, the inaugural session will be held at 10:15 AM today, which includes a special address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, outlining the vision behind the budgetary push for the AVGC-Creator Economy, converging creativity, culture and technology to drive growth, employment and India’s soft power. 

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will also host a Breakout Session on AVGC Content Creator Labs in Schools and Colleges. The session will focus on the establishment of AVGC Content Creator Labs across 15,000 schools and 500 higher educational institutions to nurture creative talent, strengthen India’s Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics ecosystem and build skilled creators for the country's rapidly expanding Orange Economy

A breakout session on “AVGC Content Creator Labs in Schools & Colleges” is scheduled to be held from 11:10 AM to 12:40 PM. The session will be moderated by Shri Chaitanya Chinchlikar – VP & CTO, Whistling Woods International, while the keynote address will be given by Shri Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

The session will feature a discussion with experts from government and industry, including Ms A. Srija, Economic Advisor (D/o School Education & Literacy), Dr Ashish Kulkarni (Chairman, FICCI AVGC Forum), Shri Rajan Navani (Founder & Group CEO, JetSynthesys), and Ms Sonam Bhagat (CEO, Vygr), along with a student representative from IICT. 

Leading industry figures such as Dr Vishwas Deoskar (CEO, IICT), Shri Munjal Shroff (Director & COO, Graphiti Studios and Chairman, FICCI AVGC-XR), Shri Biren Ghose (Founder & CEO - Astra Studios & Governing Council - IICT), Shri Manvendra Shukul (CEO, Lakshya Digital), Ms Mala Sharma (Global VP, Education and International, Adobe), Ms Preeti Vyas (President, Mythik), and 2 young volunteers of MyBharat will also be a part of the discussions.

The webinar will end at 5:25 PM, where the whole day will be summarised in the closing session. A special address will also be given by the Hon'ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.

It is also expected that the webinar will generate actionable insights and collaborative strategies for implementing the AVGC content creator labs initiative, which aims to equip young Indians with creative and Digital skills and position India as a global leader in the AVGC Sector.
