DU Admissions: Based on the latest statistics released by the officials of the institution, more than 1.42 lakh enthusiastic candidates have registered and started their applications on the CSAS portal. It is expected that the level of competition will only increase from here, as Phase 2 has begun. Within the very first forty-eight hours after the start of this crucial selection phase, more than 43,500 candidates have confirmed their respective college and course combinations.

This indicates that a large number of applicants have made definite choices about their areas of studies and institutions through this phase of the process. As there are over 71,000 seats available in total at 67 colleges, this shows the level of competition faced this year. Since the final allotment of seats is based entirely on the match between the CUET-UG score and exact course preferences, the officials at DU are advising the remaining applicants to review their criteria for mapping subjects on the dashboard before the deadline of mid-July.
