Bihar State Government Approves 5 New Private Universities to Increase Enrolment Ratio

Bihar Cabinet has approved the establishment of five new private universities across the state for higher education. The cabinet has also approved the transfer rule 2026, to regulate the transfer of teachers, head masters and principal from primary to secondary across the state.

Bihar Cabinet has approved the establishment of five new private universities across the state for higher education, to provide students with more access. In an official statement shared on X Choudhary mentioned “Approval has been granted for the establishing and operating of five new universities in various districts of Bihar”. This will help students in higher education and provide students with larger access to it. 

Institutions Got Approval for the Establishment

  2. Shangza University in Madhubani
  3. B G University at Daraudha in Siwan
  4. S A University at Ashok Nagar in Nawada
  5. Himalaya University in Patna 
  6. Seetyog University in Aurangabad, he said.

Teacher Transfer Rule 2026 Approved 

The cabinet has also approved the transfer rule 2026, to regulate the transfer of teachers, head masters and principal from primary to secondary across the state.  After a notification shared, the transfer rule will be done through a portal based system. On grounds such as health- related reasons, spouse posting, disabilities, family circumstances, female teachers may transfer from their home panchayat.

Similarly for male teachers, they can get transfer on the ground of facing staff shortage as per p requirement to help teacher-student ratio balance and also on the basis of home block to nearby block within district.
