NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: The National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the NEET UG re-examinations today, June 21, 2026. After the exams conducted on May 3, 2026, were cancelled following paper leaks, the agency is prepared with all required security measures to conduct the re-exam fairly and properly. 

NEET UG 2026 re-exam admit cards were issued on June 14, 2026. The link to download the admit card copy is available on the official website - neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates appearing for the entrance exam today are advised to carry the hard copy of the admit cards with them to the exam centre along with a valid ID proof. Entry into the exam centre will not be permitted without the admit cards. 

It must be noted that the Re-NEET 2026 examination is being conducted at 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 centres abroad. The examination is being conducted in English and 12 Indian languages.

Revised Security Arrangements for Re-NEET 2026

The NTA used the services of the Indian Air Force to fly in the question papers to various points from Delhi, from where the question papers were transported to the centres for the exam. On the eve of the NEET UG 2026 examination, the National Testing Agency has put in place comprehensive arrangements to ensure a fair, secure and candidate-friendly examination.

Examination centres are also under high security to ensure that no leaks or malpractices are reported from the centres. Delhi Police has placed PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sadiq Nagar under high security. All four gates have been sealed before the exam, with reopening scheduled in the presence of SDM and police officials.

Extra 15 min in Today's NEET  Exam

This time, the National Testing Agency has revised the timings for the NEET UG 2026 exam. Until last time, the NEET UG exams were conducted for a duration of three hours from 2 PM to 5 PM. This time, however, to ease the stress of students, NTA has added 15 minutes for students to complete the exams. As per the revised timings, the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted from 2 PM to 5:15 PM.

State Government Steps Up Vigil, Provides Support to Students

For students to reach the exam on time, various state governments have announced provisions of free travel to reach the exam centres. States like States such as Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh have waived off travel fare on state transport buses for students on the exam day. Students can just show their re-exam admit cards to avail the free travel to the centre. The Uttar Pradesh state government also announced a 50% fare concession on the UPSCRTC buses for NEET students.

As per the directives of the Union Ministry, state district administrations have also set up cooling zones, shaded waiting areas, and ensured uninterrupted power supply in the centre, along with safe and clean drinking water amenities at the exam centre.

    Re-NEET 2026: Security Provisions Arranged

    Provisions have been made to make sure that the NEET re-examination is conducted smoothly. Authorities have made security measures until the conclusion of the exam. Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Lucknow Babloo Kumar has stated that comprehensive security arrangements have been made across 75 examination centres in the district. Authorities in Noida conducted inspections at examination centres, including Bhawani Shankar Inter College in Sector 46, where CCTV cameras and jammers were installed to prevent malpractice. Joint Commissioner of Police Rajiv Narayan Mishra has stated that NEET will be conducted across 23 centres in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, and Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been enforced to maintain law and order.

    Re-NEET 2026: Security and Deployment

    According to a press release issued by the NTA, there is an extensive mobilisation of the state and district administration with regard to deployment of police, paramilitary forces, Indian Air Force and the Department of Posts. As per details available, around 40 to 50 security personnel have been deployed at each examination centre. Bank officials have been deployed at approximately 1,500 bank branches holding the confidential material, and the Department of Posts will coordinate its teams for the collection of OMR sheets at around 700 collection centres across the country. Review meetings have also been held with the Chief Secretaries and senior officials of all States, and districts have confirmed centre arrangements.

    Re-NEET 2026: Dress Code to Appear for Exams

    National Testing Agency (NTA) mandates a strict dress code to ensure smooth frisking and fairness. The following guidelines have been issued by the NTA for the smooth conduct of the exam

    Candidates are permitted to wear articles or objects of faith (including religious symbols, kalawas, turbans, hijabs, or similar items), subject to reporting at the examination centre well in advance to facilitate thorough frisking by examination staff.

    While light clothing is preferred, candidates may wear full-sleeve garments or woollen garments if required, subject to reporting to the centre well in advance to enable thorough frisking.

    Slippers and low-heeled footwear are the preferred category of footwear.

    Candidates wearing high-heeled footwear may be subjected to additional checks.

    Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying any electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth accessories, earphones, or any communication device, inside the examination hall.

    Metallic items, large belt buckles, heavy jewellery, and accessories are not permitted inside the examination hall.

    All candidates will be subject to mandatory frisking before entry.

    Candidates are advised to report to the centre at the scheduled reporting time to facilitate smooth security checks without undue stress.
