The online submission system will have an integrated payment gateway specifically for dealing with challenges. The NTA charges a processing fee of two hundred rupees for each of the challenged questions and this amount cannot be refunded irrespective of the final ruling. This fee structure has been adopted with the objective of discouraging baseless or speculative challenges as the candidate must have valid reasons from textbooks.

After uploading the provisional papers, the NTA will give an objection period of 2-3 days to the candidates. In case any discrepancy is found by you in your OMR sheets or if there is any mistake in the answer key provided officially, you can file an online objection. For filing an online objection, the candidate needs to pay an amount of ₹200 as non-refundable processing fee per questioned paper along with proper evidence (such as pages of NCERT textbooks).

Candidates waiting to review their marked answers must understand how the digital OMR verification works. When the portal goes live, individual machine-read responses will be presented in a tabular format next to the actual scanned image of your answer sheet. Students are strictly advised to cross-verify if the machine-captured choices precisely match the dark pen strokes made on their physical sheets at the testing centers on Sunday afternoon.

Unlike the initial examination, the evaluation of the re-test papers on June 21 is taking place under a more stringent process of AI-monitored surveillance. According to NTA, the process of scanning twice the OMR sheets has been completed successfully at all the evaluation centers. This is a precautionary step taken to ensure 100 percent accuracy in recording of bubble marks before publishing the scanned images of answer sheets with the provisional answer key code booklet.

National Testing Agency has started configuring their servers on the website for uploading the provisional answer key of Re-NEET 2026. The IT team is enhancing the bandwidth capacity of the server so that it can handle huge traffic due to millions of candidates checking their scorecards today.
