Clearing UPTET is mandatory for teaching in government schools in Uttar Pradesh. However, a UPTET qualification certificate does not guarantee a teaching job. It provides eligibility to apply for teacher recruitment conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government.

The UPTET result is expected to be announced after the release of the final answer key. UPESSC will first review all objections raised by candidates against the provisional answer key. After the necessary corrections, the commission will release the final answer key, and the result will be declared after that.

There is no negative marking in the UPTET exam. This allows candidates to attempt more questions. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.

The UPTET official answer key will be released in PDF format on the official website of UPESSC. Candidates can easily download the file and compare their responses with the correct answers.

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) conducts the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) to check the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to 8 and provides eligibility certificates to successful candidates in Digital Format. 

In the UPTET Exam, there are two papers: Paper I is for a person who wants to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5, and Paper II is for classes 6 to 8. A person who wants to be a teacher for both levels will have to write both papers.

Candidates can estimate their probable scores using the UPTET answer key and response sheet by following the official marking scheme provided below:

• 1 mark for every correct answer.
• No negative marking for wrong answers.

If a candidate finds any discrepancies in the answer key, he/she can raise objections by paying a non-refundable fee. The candidate can challenge the answer key through the candidate's login within the given time frame. The candidate will have to pay a non-refundable online fee.

After releasing the UPTET provisional answer key, the UPESSC will open an objection window. Candidates who find any discrepancy can submit objections along with valid proof within the given time frame. 

The UPTET provisional answer key will be published in PDF format. Candidates will not need to enter any login credentials. 

The Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (UPTET) is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) to determine the eligibility of candidates who want to become teachers in central government schools. The exam is conducted in two papers:

• Paper 1: For teaching Classes 1 to 5

• Paper 2: For teaching Classes 6 to 8.

As per the official notice, this year, 19,94,661 candidates registered for the Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (UPTET) for paper 1 and paper 2. 

The UPESSC will release the provisional answer key first. Candidates will be able to compare their responses with the official answers. The commission will also provide the opportunity to raise objections against any incorrect answer. 

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will release the UPTET answer key on its official website, upessc.up.gov.in. This is the only official website of UPESSC to release all the information about UPTET. 

The UP TET 2026 examination was conducted successfully on July 2, 3 and 4 in 60 districts and at 955 exam centres.

The UP TET Answer Key 2026 is expected to be released today on the official website. Candidates who appeared in the exam held on July 2, 3, and 4 can verify their responses once it is released officially.
