UP Board Examinations to Provide Bonus Marks to Sports Students, Check Benefits, Eligibility & Guidelines
The UP Board has introduced a policy to award 5 to 20 bonus marks to Class 10 and 12 students for achievements in sports, NCC, or Scouts and Guides. These marks are distributed based on the level of competition (State, National, or International) and can also function as grace marks to help students pass in up to two subjects.

Students who are good at sports and have played the state level or the national level or the international level will get marks. They can get anywhere from 5 to 20 marks. This will be helpful for students who want to manage both academics and sports. And wants to encourage students to play sports and also study hard.

Under this new policy, students are awarded extra marks ranging from 5 to 20 based on their highest level of achievement in recognized sporting events.

Key Eligibility Criteria & Guidelines
- Marks are limited to SGFI, NCC, or Scouts and Guides participants.
- Students must have a valid certificate issued by January 31 of the exam year.
- Class 9 and 11 achievements apply to Class 10 and 12 board exams, respectively.
- Only the single certificate offering the highest bonus marks is considered.
- Bonus marks can be given as grace marks in up to two subjects to help students pass.
