IIT Kanpur Online M.Tech: It is an official announcement that the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has expanded its horizons by launching four M.Tech programs online for the year 2026. These four programs comprise Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Smart Grids, and Sustainable Energy Technologies and have been meticulously planned with due consideration of the disparity between theoretical knowledge and technical skills required in future industries. With a completely virtual mode of education, IIT Kanpur aims at offering a rare chance to the highly motivated graduates and seasoned professionals to pursue their post-graduate studies without compromising on their professional responsibilities.
The regular certification courses do not provide anything similar to these M.Tech courses that are Senate-approved, ensuring that the graduates receive equal recognition as their campus-based counterparts. The M.Tech courses are flexible and provide students with the option of completing the courses in two to four years. Apart from this, weekend classes are also offered by some of the best professors in the field. The aspiring candidates can be accepted based on their GATE 2026 scores or through a special entrance test. The icing on the cake is that candidates with five years or more professional experience in the same field will be provided with waivers. Classes are scheduled to start in September 2026.
