Parliamentary Panel To Discuss NEET UG Re-Exam Learnings, Student Employability On July 1
The agenda includes reviewing the learnings from NEET UG re-examination, reforms to strengthen the NTA and strategies to maximize student employability.
Parliamentary Panel NEET UG: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports will meet on July 1, 2026, at the Parliament House Annexe Extension in New Delhi. Senior officials from the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency (NTA) will brief the committee.
The agenda includes reviewing the learnings from NEET UG re-examination, reforms to strengthen the NTA and strategies to maximize student employability. The meeting comes after the NEET UG exam was re-conducted on June 21 following the cancellation of the main exam due to a paper leak.
NTA DG To Review NEET UG Learnings
Abhishek Singh, Director General, NTA will review the learnings from the NEET UG re-examination process. To ensure a smooth conduct of the NEET UG re-examination, Singh had implemented several measures including seeking assistance from the Indian Air Force (IAF) for a smooth movement of exam question papers and 4-level real-time CCTV surveillance. Vineet Joshi, Department of Higher Education will also join the meeting.
Former Secretary, Department of Space and Former Chairman of ISRO K. Radhakrishnan will review the reforms to strengthen the NTA.
The next meeting of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth & Sports will be held on 1st July

Panel To Review Strategies To Maximize Employability of Students
T.G. Sitharam, IISc Bengaluru Former Chairman, AICTE and Former Director, IIT Guwahati, Arun C. Mehta, Former Head of Department, NIEPA along with Delhi School of Artificial Intelligence and Sarvam AI will review the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Education and strategies to maximize employability of students.
The NEET UG examination, originally scheduled for May 3 was postponed following an alleged paper leak. Investigators alleged that the leak had originated from Maharashtra and had later spread to Rajasthan’s Kota - a major coaching hub.
