CBSE Re-evaluation Portal Crisis: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has taken charge after much hue and cry was raised by the masses regarding some serious flaws in the system. Some top-notch engineers and data experts have been sent from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur to Delhi for carrying out what IIT Madras director V Kamakoti terms a “complete health check-up” of the board’s digital infrastructure. This is amid hundreds of thousands of students facing problems such as server crashes, blocked login verification, and huge payment gateway issues while accessing electronic versions of their answer sheets.
The review of the backend process by the team of experts will also include an assessment of the risk of a Denial of Service vulnerability developing as a consequence of the highly debated process of automatic On-Screen Marking implemented by the board. The government has invited four premier banks in the public sector to assist in this major exercise of restructuring.
