Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE 10th Result 2026 is anticipated to be released anytime now. The board has completed the evaluation process and will release the marks of the students who appeared in the Class 10 board examinations conducted I February-March on the official website results.cbse.nic.in. This year, however, CBSE 10th Result Mark sheet will not be released with the results.
As parents may be aware, CBSE will be conducting Class 10 board examinations twice from this year. The intent is to provide students an additional option of appearing for and improving their scores. In line with National Education Policy (NEP), the purpose is to remove the added stress associated with board examinations. Accordingly, CBSE 10th Board exams will be conducted again from May 5 (tentatively) again for all students who wish to appear again.

To keep the work streamlined, the board had announced that the Class 10 Marksheet will not be released at the time of result declaration of the first board. Students will be able to check their results online and decide whether they wish to appear for the second board or not. The marksheet download, which was earlier possible from DigiLocker, will begin only when CBSE 10th Final Results are declared after second board. Tentatively, they are expected to be released in the month of June. Check out the important things all students and parents need to know about CBSE 10th Marksheet under the 2-board scheme.
3 Things to Know About CBSE Class 10 Marksheet under 2 Board Scheme
- CBSE, as mentioned earlier, will only release a provisional mark sheet. This document will be considered valid for taking provisional admissions in Class 11, should a student wishes after the first board examination.
- Provisional marksheet is not a valid document and only the final mark sheet will be considered the valid document. Students will be required to download the marksheet from DigiLocker at the time of Final Result declaration after second board.
- Irrespective of whether student appears for only one board or two, only the higher marks scored by the student will be added to the final marksheet once released. This marksheet will be, as is customary, made available to all schools and can be collected by the parents.
Apart from these, parents may please note that revaluation for CBSE Class 10 Results will not be available at this time. Board will only open the revaluation window after the second board examination results are declared.
Also, students who get compartment can choose either to appear in the May examination or in the Compartment examinations – which will be conducted as per plan in the month of July. Should students choose, or if they are not prepared, they can appear directly for July examination.
When will CBSE 10th Result 2026 be declared?
Addressing the important question, the honest answer is that the date is not announced as yet. CBSE, as a policy, does not share the result date in advance. Students and parents as well as all stakeholders will be informed only half hour to one hour prior to the release.
CBSE, however, does send out notices to schools and updates the Pareeksha Sangam portal that sends out signals to schools about result declaration. So far, the portal has not been updated. Furthermore, since the passwords may not be provided at this time for DigiLocker account – since marksheets will not be released, many are suggesting that results may just be released on the official website and DigiLocker.
With the uncertainty in mind, all are advised to keep a check on the official websites results.cbse.nic.in and DigiLocker for latest updates on CBSE Results. Any update, from school or the board, once made available, will also be provided on this page. Official notification released last year had shared April 20 as the tentative date of result for class 10. Results are likely to be released before the mentioned date and not after.
