Candidates taking part in IIMC Round 2 Counselling 2026 have only till today, June 20, 2026, to submit their online willingness and choose between Freeze or Float.The Round of 2 seat allotment was released on June 16, while document verification by IIMC will continue till June 21, 2026. After this stage closes, the third round of seat allotment will begin from  June 23, 2026 and will continue till 26 June 2026. The last date to verify the document will close on 27 June 2026.For students who have received a seat in Round 2, this is the stage where quick action matters. If you are satisfied with the allotted seat, you can select Freeze. If you want to be considered for a better preference in the next round, you can choose Float. Steps to Apply for IIMC Counselling 2026

The counselling process for Indian Institute of Mass Communication MA and PG Diploma courses admission is completely online. Candidates can follow simple steps given below to complete the choice filling. 

  1. Visit the official IIMC counselling portal at iimc.gov.in

  2. Click on Registration and e-counselling

  3. Click on the link and enter the relevant information

  4. Enter the choices for admissions

  5. Submit required documents

  6. Review the choices entered and lock preferences

  7. Save and click on submit

IIMC Admission 2026 Counselling Registration Fee

To take part in the IIMC counselling 2026 candidates are required to pay a non refundable registration fee online. The fee is ₹1,500 for general category candidates and ₹1000 for EWS / OBC-NCL / SC / ST candidates. After the seat allotment candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 20,000 and upload necessary documents to confirm their admissions.

What Happens After Round 2?

After the round 2 counselling process is completed and document verification begins, the next important event will be the Third round of seat allotment that will commence from 23 June choice filling can be done until 26 June 2026. For many students round 3 may offer one last opportunity to secure a final seat.
