India successfully conducts Agni-1 ballistic missile test-fire from Odisha

India achieved a significant milestone in its defense capabilities by successfully carrying out the test-launch of the Agni-1 short-range ballistic missile. It was a strategic trial conducted from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur off the coast of Odisha, India. 

The Agni-1 launch represents a routine and signicicant validation of the weapon system which is executed under the strict supervision of the DRDO to ensure long-term combat readiness. The launch was conducted under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC), which manages the nation's strategic nuclear assets.

An official statement issued by the Ministry of Defence confirmed that the entire flight trial met all pre-determined objectives. Parameter validation a high-stakes test successfully validated all operational and technical parameters of the ballistic missile system.
