The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has shared some big news for students waiting on their Class 12 results. Dr. Partha Karmakar, the Council President, announced on April 22, 2026, that the HS results will officially be released on May 14, 2026. This update brings a much-needed answer to lakhs of students across the state who have been eagerly awaiting their marks.
WBCHSE Class 12 Result 2026 Date
According to the official announcement, the 2026 Higher Secondary (HS) results will be released on May 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The scores will first be shared during a press conference at Vidyasagar Bhavan in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Once the formal meeting is over, students will be able to check their individual results online.
The Council also mentioned that students who took the exams can start checking their marks online from 11:00 AM. While the specific websites haven't been named yet, they will be shared very soon. This means everyone can see their scores digitally just a short while after the official announcement.

The HS exams started on February 12 and wrapped up by February 27.

Around 7.20 lakh candidates took the exams statewide, with over 6.35 lakh students coming from 6,837 schools across 23 districts.
This year was particularly special as it was the first time the exams were held under the newly introduced semester system.
The results are being released exactly 76 days after the final exam, showing that the Council worked quite quickly this year to grade the papers and get the scores ready.
