UP Board Class 10th, 12th Result 2026 List of Top Performing Districts: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has declared the Class 10th and 12th results today, April 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM. This year, over 54 lakh students appeared for the examinations, which made it one of the largest academic evaluations in the world. As the state celebrates the success of its youth, all eyes are on the regional statistics to see which areas emerged as the academic powerhouses of the state.The results from 2026 show that all districts did very well, continuing the trend from previous years. Girls' pass rates went up a lot, and there was a lot of competition among students from semi-urban areas. As per the board, 27.32 Lakh candidates have registered for Class 10 (High School) and 27.05 Lakh have registered for Class 12 (Intermediate), where 90.42% of candidates were declared successful in Class 10 and 80.38% of candidates were declared successful in Class 12 respectively. Kashish Verma & Anshika Verma topped class 10th with 97.83% marks each and Shikha Verma topped class 12th with 97.60% marks.

The Secretary of the Board, Bhagwati Singh, announced the results from the Prayagraj headquarters, highlighting that the evaluation process was completed in record time. As per the official data, the district-wise rankings have seen a massive shift this year. Sitapur and Barabanki students tied for first place in Class 10 whereas In Class 12, Sitapur continued to lead, with the state topper coming from the district. Other districts that saw significant increase in pass percentage includes Bareilly, Jhansi, and Meerut.

Region-wise Analysis: West vs. East UP Performance

In the UP Board Results, Eastern UP (Purvanchal) traditionally holds a strong grip on the merit list; Western UP has made significant strides this year.

Districts such as Meerut and Bareilly recorded higher average scores in Science and Commerce streams. Bareilly, in particular, saw two students securing the second and third ranks in the Intermediate results.

Districts like Varanasi and Gorakhpur continue to maintain the highest overall participation rates. The "Varanasi Model" of digital mark uploading (introduced as a pilot this year) helps to provide complete openness in internal assessments.
