UP CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered a strict ban on operating coaching centers and commercial units in basements following the Lucknow fire incident. Discover the new safety guidelines and enforcement measures aimed at prioritizing student safety in Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh Government has made a big decision for students to keep safe. After the Lucknow massive fire incident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict order against the use of basements for running coaching centers or any other commercial activities will no longer be permitted.  In the discussion with  high level officials it is stated that lives of students are more important. He also made clear that, if anyone will break this rule strict safety action will be taken. All government departments have been enforcing these safety rules.

What are the New Safety Rules? 

  • No Basement Classroom: No coaching classes will be running in the basements of buildings, not  only classes, any activities is strictly prohibited to operate from the underground basement. 
  • Strict Punishment: Any kind of business is strictly banned. Violating rules can lead to strict punishments, not only to the person who is running the business but also the owners. 
  • Fire safety measure: All the coaching centers should have proper fire extinguishers, fire/emergency exits which can be used in case of emergency 

The Officials have been asked to check and also identify places where coaching or business  activities are existing illegally in basements or not. Such buildings will be closed immediately.

CM Yogi has made it clear that students' lives and their safety are non-negotiable and small mistakes cannot be tolerated. It has been noticed that in past times there are many incidents has been taken place. The safety measures are to taken care and breaking safety rules will have to face the strict legal action
