NID DAT counselling 2026 Schedule Released, Download MDes Round 1 Provisional Letter Here

The National Institute of Design (NID) has officially released the NID DAT counselling 2026 schedule for designing candidates. Candidates participating in the admission process can view the detailed timeline on the official website, admissions.nid.edu. Additionally, the institute also issued the provisional offer letters for the Master of Design (MDes) Round 1 counselling on May 21, 2026. For undergraduate candidates, the NID DAT BDes Mains Result 2026 is scheduled to be declared on or before 28th May, 2026. Following the results, the counselling registration process for shortlisted Bachelor of Design (BDes) candidates will start immediately and remain open until May 31, 2026.

During this registration window, candidates must upload essential verification documents, including educational certificates, birth certificates, and valid photo ID proofs. The strict deadline for all document submissions is May 31, 2026.

2. Click on the “Provisional Offer Letter” link

3. Enter registered email ID and date of birth

4. Download and save the offer letter PDF for future reference

Seat Allotment and Final Admission Process

The first seat allotment result for the BDes counselling will be published on 9th June, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must confirm their admission and submit the token fee by 11th June, 2026. If a candidate fails to complete the fee payment, their seat will be canceled and offered to the next eligible candidate in the respective category.
