NEET UG Re-Test 2026 Result: The NEET UG 2026 re-test was conducted on June 21 following the cancellation of the main exam due to an alleged paper leak. In a recent update, the exam conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) shared that the re-test results “will be declared at the earliest”. The NEET UG is one of the most competitive entrance examinations conducted in India for admission into medical undergraduate programmes, drawing over 20 lakh registered candidates this year.

The NEET UG re-test expected highest marks this year are likely to remain between 686 and 720 with a percentile of over 99 per cent, considering the 2024 and 2025 results. In 2024, 17 candidates had secured a perfect score of 720, while in 2025, the scores for the top 10 rank holders were recorded between 675 and 686 marks out of 720.

The drop in the highest marks is likely due to 2025 question paper being more difficult than its previous year’s. Additionally, all 180 questions were made compulsory in 2025, unlike in 2025 when candidates could choose any 10 out of 15 questions in Section B. The negative marking may have also contributed to the decline in top scores.

Students can expect scores to remain broadly similar to last year’s, with the highest marks likely to be around 700. However, there is still a possibility that a few candidates may achieve a perfect score of 720, securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 in this year’s NEET UG examination.

Re-NEET 2026 Result Expected in the First Week of July
The NEET UG re-test results are likely to be declared soon, possibly in the first week of July, 2026. Though, NTA has not made any specific announcement regarding the date and time. The window for raising objections against the answer key closed on June 28.
