NEET UG Admit Card Glitch: Nagpur Student Assigned Abu Dhabi Center Promised Correction
A medical aspirant from Nagpur faced severe logistical stress after his NEET UG 2026 re-exam admit card mistakenly allocated an overseas center in Abu Dhabi. Learn about the official NTA rectifications and mandatory student safety protocols.
A family in Nagpur has expressed concern that the NEET‑UG re‑exam admit card for their son Abdullah Mohammad Talib had a wrong school in Abu Dhabi as the examination centre. The re‑exam is to be on 21 June and the family have chosen three districts in India and not an overseas centre.
Abdullah's father Mohammad Talib informs that the family found out about the mistake when they downloaded the admit card at 4pm the day before. “We were really shocked as we had not given anything as such in our options,” he said. They called the official helpline and were informed to fill out an email. Following the e-mail they were contacted by phone where they were assured a new admit card by 4 pm on Saturday.
Request to Change Examination Centre
The family has requested the change of the centre for Abdullah to Nagpur. Abdullah's surprised at the error and is not able to practically move to other district within such a short notice as well as cannot hold a passport making an overseas centre impossible too. The family said he was very disturbed when they found out and he only agreed to sit the exam when his mother encouraged him.
The police are reportedly releasing a revised admit card. If any discrepancy is found in the NEET Re‑Exam Admit Card, the student is required to contact the official helpline immediately and complete the steps mentioned in the email and keep copies of all the communicating as per the instructions. Save screenshots of the admit card and any confirmation and keep an eye out for updates and corrected documents on the official NTA/NEET portal.
Candidates may find exam centre mistakes to be very stressful and logistical issues. It allows a student to sit for examination without any compromise of travel, or eligibility. For any issues that do not get resolved on time, the affected candidates should raise through official complaint procedures and record each time an issue has been raised and resolved.
