NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak: CBI Arrests Another Key Accused Linked to Leak of Physics Questions
CBI makes yet another arrest in relation to the Physics question leak. The number of arrests so far in the NEET 2026 paper leak comes to 11. More to be brought in for questioning, says CBI.
The CBI, as part of its investigation into the NEET UG paper leak, has now arrested another key accused in connection with the leak of Physics questions. The number of accused arrested in this case has now reached 11.
As reported, the accused, Manisha Sanjay Havaldar, who was working at Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala in Pune, Maharashtra, has been arrested after thorough interrogation by the CBI. She was involved in the NEET UG 2026 exam process and was appointed by the NTA as a subject expert.

The accused had complete access to the Physics question papers and, in April 2026, shared some of the questions of NEET UG 2026 from the Physics subject with co-accused Manisha Mandhare (already arrested by the CBI). According to reports, the questions she shared tally with the NEET UG 2026 Physics question paper
The CBI has conducted searches at various locations across the country, seizing several incriminating documents, laptops, bank statements and mobile phones. A detailed analysis of the seized items is in process.

The CBI registered the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case on May 12, 2026, based on a written complaint given by the Department of Higher Education. Ministry of Education, Government of India, regarding the alleged paper leak of NEET UG 2026. After the case was registered, teams were formed, and searches were conducted across various locations in the country, and several suspects were picked for further interrogation.
The investigation of this matter is ongoing, with special teams, and so far, the source of the leak has been identified. The middlemen involved in mobilising students who paid lakhs to attend special classes where questions which would come in the exam were discussed and shared have also been brought to light.
