The re-test is happening because the May 3 exam was cancelled due to allegations of a paper leak, in the UG exam.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: New Guidelines
The examination is going to have some changes. NTA has issued new guidlines, candidates will get four pages for work now instead of just two pages. They will find two of these rough-work pages after the page with instructions. The other two rough-work pages will be at the back of the question booklet. These pages are for candidates to do their calculations and draw diagrams and other rough work during the examination. The new format is the same for question papers in English and for question papers in languages.
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Without these documents, candidates may not be allowed to enter the examination hall. NTA has already issued the city intimation slips for the re-examination. These slips help candidates know the city where their examination centre is located and make travel arrangements in advance.
