IIT Jammu Launches RISE-UP 2026 Internship for Aspiring Engineers and Scientists

The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Jammu has officially invited applications for its prestigious RISE-UP 2026, Research Internship in Sciences and Engineering- An Undergraduate Program. This initiative aims to develop a robust research culture by allowing students from across the country to collaborate directly with IIT faculty on real-world technical challenges. The application submission process will begin on March 26, 2026 and will close on April 10, 2026.

IIT RISE-UP 2026: Program Highlights and Eligibility Criteria

Unlike traditional classroom-based learning, RISE-UP 2026 is a fully offline, project-based internship.

• It is primarily targeted at pre-final year undergraduate students and postgraduate students from institutions other than IIT Jammu. 
• Candidates with a strong foundation in programming and technical skills will be given preference during the selection process.
• This internship is scheduled to take place for 4-8 weeks, starting from May, 2026. 
• Those candidates who complete the full eight-week duration are eligible for a stipend, offering both financial support and academic enrichment.
• Interns will also gain access to the institute’s state-of-the-art laboratories and cutting-edge research facilities.

The application portal will start from March 26, 2026, with the submission deadline falling on April 10, 2026. Interested candidates should prepare their academic records, documentation of technical expertise, and a compelling statement of research interest.
