Ladki Bahin Yojana: When will the February Month Installment be Released? Check Latest Updates

The women applicants who haven't done the eKYC will not be considered eligible to receive the benefits under the Ladki Bahin Yojana. The government has made the eKYC mandatory for all the applicants to remove the leakages and loopholes.

The number of women from the Sindhudurg district in Konkan are the least when it comes to receiving benefits under the scheme.

It has been reported that most of the beneficiaries receiving benefits under the Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme are from Pune district of Maharashtra.

As per some reports, the number of women beneficiaries under the Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme is expected to be around 2 crore. Out of which 83 percent of them are married.

There were 2.5 crore women applicants for the Ladki Bahin Yojana, as per the official statistics. But, after the verification round, the number of women beneficiaries declined.

The last installment for the Ladki Bahin Yojana was released on 23 February 2026 for the month of December 2025 and January 2026.

The aim of Ladki Bahin Yojana is to empower the women economically, improve their health and nutrition, and strengthen their decisive role in the family.

The applicants are reuired to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Ladki Bahin Yojana:

• Resident: A woman must be a resident of Maharashtra.

• Marital Status: Married, widowed, divorced, abandoned and destitute women in the state as well as only one unmarried woman in the family are eligible.

• Age Limit: Must be between the ages of 21 and 65 years.

• Annual Family Income must not exceed 2.5 lakhs.

• The beneficiary should have her own Aadhaar-linked bank account.

The applicants for the Ladki Bahin Yojana can visit the official website at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in to check their application status, ekyc, and installment updates.

The beneficiaries are expecting to receive the monthly installment for the month of February and March together with the total sum amounting to ₹3,000 (₹1,500 + ₹1,500). It will be great for the beneficiaries if they get the amount for both the months together.

The women beneficiaries receive a monthly installment of ₹1,500 under the Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme through direct benefit transfer (DBT) into their Aadhaar-linked accounts.

The recent media reports suggest that the installment for the month of February and March can be released together in the month of April. As it has been seen previously that the installment for the month of December 2025 and January 2026 were jointly disbursed on 23 February 2026.

As per some reports, it is expected that the state administration will release the February month installment in the mid week of April 2026.

There are multiple resons that can be asserted for the delay in the payment of the February installment for the Ladki Bahin Yojana. Some of the reasons are:

• Local Body Elections in Maharashtra, due to which the administration is busy.
• Ongoing eKYC process
• Administrative audits for the already applied beneficiaries.
