Ladki Bahin Yojana Maharashtra: A significant update has been announced concerning the disbursement of amount for the month of February and March for the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.' As per some reports, the payments for February and March 2026, each valued at ₹1,500, might be released together into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The government is expected to credit a combined amount of ₹3,000 to the bank accounts of beneficiary women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) before April 15, 2026.
Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana
Introduced by the Government of Maharashtra in 2024, the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' is aimed to support economically disadvantaged women by offering financial aid to promote their independence. The eligible women beneficiaries will get a monthly stipend of ₹1,500 directly into their bank accounts via DBT. The main purpose of the scheme is to empower women economically. The funds for the scheme has been allocated in the 2025-26 Budget.
Latest Update on February and March 2026 Installments
The payments for February and March had not yet been disbursed. As reported, these payments are delayed because of ongoing administrative audits, the mandatory e-KYC verification process, and the Model Code of Conduct that was in effect due to the recent local elections. The media reports have suggested that the state government is expected to disburse the total sum due for both months, which amounts to ₹3,000 (comprising ₹1,500 for each month), prior to April 15, 2026.
NOTE: It is important to remember that the installments for December 2025 and January 2026 were jointly disbursed on February 23, 2026.
