The officers in the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and Indian Police Services (IPS) are recruited through India’s most coveted examination known as the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). Every year lakh of aspirants apply for this exam in the hope of becoming IAS & IPS officers. The first choice of most of the candidates is to become an IAS or IPS officer. Only a selected few will get the choice of their service. This requires a long journey of persistence, discipline, and continuity along with hard work and dedication. Pradeep Kasni

• He was the IAS Officer of 1997 batch.

• He was the IAS Officer in the Haryana administration for thirty four years. He was transferred seventy one times.

• His last posting was Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Land Use Board from 22 August 2017 to 28 February 2018.

Ashok Khemka

• Ashok Khemka is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer of 1991 batch from Haryana cadre who formerly served as Additional Chief Secretary in the Government of Haryana.

• During his career of more than three decades, he worked solely for the state of Haryana. without a single deputation to the Central Government.

• He has been transferred 66 times during his career, making him the second-most transferred bureaucrat in Haryana, surpassed only by retired IAS officer Pradeep Kasni.

• Early Life & Education: He was born in Kolkata, West Bengal in 1965.

• He completed B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

• Then he pursued PhD in Computer Science from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). He also completed MBA in Business Administration & Finance.

KL Meena, Kamal Saxena & Vijay Singh

• Three of them are the IPS officers in the UP government who have been transferred 59 times, 48 times, and 47 times respectively in their career span.

• KL Meena: He was an IPS Officer of 1983 batch.

• Kamal Saxena: He was an IPS Officer of 1988 batch. He completed B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

• Vijay Singh: He was an IPS Officer of 1981 batch. He holds a Degree in BA Hons. History.

Tukaram Mundhe

• In contemporary times, the IAS Officer who has been in the limelight for his strict and disciplinary actions is Tukaram Mundhe. Till date, he has been transferred 25 times in his career span of more than two decades. It is reported that he has not completed a full tenure in any of his postings. He is an IAS officer of 2005 batch from the Maharashtra cadre.

• Early Life & Education: He was born in an agricultural family in Beed in Maharashtra. He completed his bachelors’ degree from Government College of Arts & Science in Aurangabad. Then he completed his MA in Political Science from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
