Xavier School of Management, XLRI has announced the establishment of a new 61.7-acre campus in Amravati, Andhra Pradesh, with a student intake capacity of over 1000 seats. According to the institute, the proposed campus would be created with an estimated Rs 300 crore investment and would also offer new academic and executive education programs. The institute is being developed with a formal agreement marked with the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), which will be called XLRI Amravati. This agreement will help to expand academic infrastructure and learning facilities as part of the institute’s expansion goals.

XLRI New Campus Expansion Plans and Program Details 

The upcoming XLRI Amaravati campus is designed to meet the increasing demand for high-quality management training. In its initial phase, the institute plans to introduce an integrated management program with a capacity of 1,000 seats. Beyond full-time students, the campus will also cater to the corporate sector by offering executive education courses for approximately 200 working professionals. This combined focus ensured that the new facility could serve both aspiring managers and seasoned industry leaders.

The infrastructure will be world-class, featuring technology-enabled classrooms, advanced academic blocks, and research facilities that align with global accreditation standards. The director of XLRI, George Sebastian, has also emphasised that this expansion is not merely about physical growth but about increasing access to management education while maintaining the rigorous academic standards that the institute has upheld since its founding in 1949.

Amaravati, envisioned by the state government as a centre for governance and institutional excellence, is an appropriate setting for XLRI’s third major campus, following Jamshedpur and Delhi-NCR. This new development is intended to greatly improve the educational environment of  Andhra Pradesh, bringing outstanding learning opportunities closer to students’ homes.
