Noida Schools Change timings for Class 1 to 8, looking at the current heatwave situation, the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration has revised the school timings for students of Classes 1 to 8 in Noida and Greater Noida. The decision has been taken following a heat advisory issued to safeguard children from extreme weather conditions.

As per the directive issued by the District Basic Education Officer (BSA), all government, aided, recognised and private schools must conduct classes from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM with immediate effect. The revised timings came into effect from 29th June 2026 and will remain applicable until further orders.

New School Timings for Noida and Greater Noida

  • Classes Covered: 1 to 8
  • New School Timings: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Effective from: 29th June 2026
  • Applicable to: Government, aided, recognised and private schools in Noida and Greater Noida
  • Valid until further notice for the officials.

Why have the School Timings been Revised?

The district administration has taken the decision after persistent high temperatures and heatwaves like conditions raised concerns about students' health and safety. Conducting classes during the cooler morning hours is expected to reduce children’s exposure to extreme afternoon heat and lower the risk of heat related illnesses such as dehydration and heatstroke.

Advisory for Schools, Parents and Students

Along with the revised timings, schools have been advised to ensure students remain adequately hydrated and avoid prolonged outdoor activities during the school hours. Parents have also been encouraged to send children with sufficient drinking water and ensure they wear light, comfortable clothing to cope with the soaring temperatures.

Administration to Review Situation

Officials have stated that the revised timings are a temporary measure and will remain in effect until weather conditions improve. The district administration will continue to monitor the heat situation before taking a decision on restoring regular school hours
