Maharashtra TET 2026 Paper Leak: The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) postponed the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2026, scheduled for June 28 (Sunday) following an alleged paper leak. Police received a tip-off on June 27 morning regarding a group of individuals having access to the TET question paper in Bhiwandi (Thane District) and raided the place. MSCE officials were called for an investigation who verified that the individuals had access to some of the TET 2026 exam questions.
The Maharashtra TET examination is conducted for candidates aiming to become teachers in primary (Classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (Classes 6 to 8) schools. More than 4 lakh candidates had registered for the examination, of which a few had travelled from far to reach their centres but were met with sudden cancellation.

Candidates are harshly criticizing the leak, directly comparing it to the NEET-UG paper leak. They are now awaiting the new exam dates to be announced.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against the individuals and the paper was called off to ensure a thorough probe.
