MP School Summer Vacation: The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), Madhya Pradesh, has released an administrative order that states that all school teachers in Madhya Pradesh can enjoy their summer vacations till June 7, 2026. The immediate decision has been taken due to the heat wave situation prevailing in the region, following which the previous academic calendar needs to be amended. Several districts in Madhya Pradesh have experienced scorching temperatures crossing the critical mark of 45°C.
The main aim of this extension is the maintenance of the health and overall well-being of the faculty. The state teachers have been working throughout the hot summer months without any break, taking care of vital public duties. The tasks include supervision of state board examination evaluation, result compilation, and conducting compulsory field work in regard to data collection surveys conducted nationally. This order signed by the Commissioner of Public Instruction, Mr. Abhishek Singh, has been circulated to all District Collectors and DEOs for its immediate execution at the regional level. It should be noted here that the extension of summer vacation for teachers will not affect other season holidays including those of Dussehra and Deepawali.
