This prize money is in addition to the €18.5 million that each of the two finalists made by reaching the final, which totals €43.5 million for the winners of the Champions League only from the final stages of the tournament.

UEFA has announced that Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha was awarded Player Of The Match for his performance in their UEFA Champions League Final, held on 31st May, 2026 at Budapest, Hungary, which ended 1-1 with Arsenal after extra time. 

After conceding an early goal to Kai Havertz from Arsenal, Vitinha played a pivotal role as PSG regained control of the match by maintaining their composure throughout the match, linking defence to attack, and maintaining a level head during a tightly contested final. 

UEFA’s Technical Observer Group recognised Vitinha’s ability to create momentum for PSG, provide the team with tempo throughout the match, and was impressed with his ability to maintain his composure during a high-pressure match.
