Ladki Bahin Yojana: Maharashtra state government has issued an important update for the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. With the financial year drawing to a close, authorities have designated March 31, 2026,i.e, Today as the decisive deadline for completing the mandatory e-KYC process. This is an important step to ensure that the financial assistance reaches genuine and eligible women across the state.
Ladki Bahin Yojana: Big Financial Boost in April
For women who complete their verification process and address any technical issues in their applications, the month of April brings significant financial relief.
- The government plans to deposit a total of Rs. 4500 directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
- This amount covers three months of installments, February, March, and April, at the rate of Rs. 1500 per month.
- However, this payout is strictly contingent upon the completion of the e-KYC procedure.
Ladki Bahin Yojana: Risk of Disqualification
The administration has clarified that the failure to update KYC details by the month-end will result in the permanent discontinuation of benefits.
- The government is using this window to filter out ineligible applicants, including those who do not meet the age criteria, i.e., 21 to 64 years, and families with annual income exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh, or households where a member holds a government job or owns a four-wheeled vehicle.
- Additionally, names of deceased beneficiaries are being systematically removed from the system.
- Local administrations in Mumbai and other districts have set up assistance centres to help women guide the digital verification process.
- Beneficiaries are urged to verify their status immediately to avoid losing their spot in this flagship welfare scheme.
