CBSE Class 12 Result: For Class 12 students living in Dubai and the Northern Emirates who need Non-Resident Indian (NRI) credentials for the forthcoming 2026–2027 college admission season in India, the Indian Consulate General in Dubai has released an important advisory. The Consulate has announced a considerable one-time relaxation regarding the standard application process in recognition of the high-stakes and time-sensitive nature of university applications.

Eligible Grade 12 students may apply for their NRI certificates at BLS International locations on a walk-in basis without the typically required previous appointment under this exceptional exception. This action is intended to ensure that students can achieve the stringent admission deadlines set by Indian educational institutions by avoiding any potential delays caused by the online booking system.

The official announcement highlights that this facility is only a temporary solution meant to help the student body during the busiest time of year for admissions. Students who wish to use this walk-in service on April 4, 2026, must provide normal documentation attesting to their NRI status as well as legitimate evidence of their current academic standing, such as Grade 12 marksheets or school identity cards.

The Consulate hopes to give young candidates a quick and easy route to get their seats under the NRI quota in India by eliminating the appointment hurdle at BLS locations throughout Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Since the service would probably run on a first-come, first-served basis to handle the anticipated flood of applicants, students are advised to visit their closest center as soon as possible.

What Did The Officials Say?

As per the official advisory issued on April 1, the Consulate General of India in Dubai has scheduled a special walk-in provision for NRI certificates on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This one-time relaxation will be available at all BLS centres across Dubai and the Northern Emirates specifically for Class 12 students. To utilize this service, applicants must carry essential documentation, including their Grade 12 mark sheets and valid proof of college admission in India.

Since the Consulate will process applications on a first-come, first-served basis, students are strongly advised to arrive early to avoid potential delays. For a streamlined experience, the required application form is available for download at cgidubai.gov.in, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed before visiting the center during this time-sensitive admission window.
