IIT Roorkee Warns Students Against Fake Internship, Training Offers

The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Roorkee, has released an official advisory cautioning students against fake internship and training offers being circulated by unauthorised agencies. According to the institute, several organisations are falsely claiming association with IIT Roorkee to offer internships, certification programs, and paid training opportunities. The institute has categorically denied any collaborations with such entities and has also warned students to maintain caution and not to fall prey to the misleading information.

The advisory highlights that IIT Roorkee does not authorise third-party agencies to conduct internships or training programs on its behalf. Students have been urged to remain vigilant and to avoid sharing personal or financial information with unverified sources.

IIT Roorkee Advises Verification through Official Channels

The institute has strongly recommended that students verify all internship and training opportunities only through its official website, placement cell, or authorised communication platforms. It further emphasised that any legitimate program associated with IIT Roorkee will be announced through verified institutional channels. The move comes amid rising cases of online fraud targeting students with fake academic and career opportunities.

With this advisory, IIT Roorkee aims to protect students from scams and ensure that they rely only on trusted and official sources for academic and professional opportunities.
