The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has slipped to 64th position globally in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026, down from 50th last year. Despite the drop, IIM Bangalore continues to be the only Indian business school in the global top 100, underlining its sustained leadership in management education in India.
Released by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the rankings reflect a mixed performance for Indian institutions' strong domestic standing but increasing competition globally.

Despite the drop in overall ranking, IIM Bangalore performed well in key metrics such as employer reputation and career outcomes. The institute secured the 42nd position globally in employer reputation and 47th in career outcomes, reflecting strong industry recognition and graduate success. These indicators play a crucial role in determining rankings, as they measure how graduates are valued in the job market and their career progression post-programme.
India’s Presence in QS EMBA Rankings
Overall, seven Indian business schools featured in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026, indicating a growing presence of Indian institutions in global management education. However, only IIM Bangalore managed to secure a place in the top 100, highlighting the gap between Indian and global B-schools in terms of international competitiveness.
