When is Full Flower Moon 2026?

May's Full Moon: Flower Moon

The full flower moon in 2026 will reach its peak brightness on May 1, 2026, at 1:23 PM EDT (5:23 GMT).

This is when the moon is directly opposite the sun from the earth's perspective. However, since this happens during the daylight hours in many places, it is not possible to see the moon at that exact time.

Therefore, the moon will look full and bright for about 24 hours before and after the time of peak brightness. Skywatchers should look for the full flower moon on the nights of April 30 and May 1 for a good view of the glowing full flower moon.
