Delhi University admissions 2026 witnessed vacant seats for Round 1 spot counselling of the Common Seat Allocation System, CSAS UG 2026-27 even after various rounds of counselling. Over 13000 UG seats are still available in various colleges of the university including Hindu College, Hansraj College, Sri Ram College of Commerce, etc. Students seeking admission to Delhi University have the golden opportunity to enter DU in this academic session. DU CSAS Spot Round 1 Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should be registered for CSAS spot round counselling
• They should not have an allotted seat in DU as of August 22, 2026
• Candidates can only pick programme and college options that have open vacancies matching specific category

Delhi University released the official notification regarding the category wise vacant seats available. About 29 seats are vacant in Hindu College and 19 seats are vacant in Hansraj College. Courses such as Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, BCom Honors, Economics and Philosophy have vacancies in Hindu College.
Programmes including Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Electronics also have vacant seats in Hansraj College.

There are a large number of vacant seats inspite of many UG admission rounds. According to some reports, students did not accept seats, colleges and programmes which majorly became a reason for so many seats left empty.
