CBSE Board Exam 2026: In a recent notification on the official 'X' Formerly Twitter handle of the Central Board of Secondary Education, the board has issued the status of a notification/ circular doing the rounds on social media regarding the cancellation of the CBSE class 10 and class 12 Exam 2026 in the middle-eastern regions. 

According to the post by the CBSE, the circular infact is FAKE. No such circular has been published by the CBSE on its official website - cbse.gov.in. Students appearing for the CBSE board 10th and 12th exams in the centres in moddle-eastern countries are advised to only rely on the official website of the board. Highlighting that the existing circular is Fake, the board has also cautioned that an official notification regarding the status of the examinations in the middle-east will be issued by the board officials only. 

According to the fake notification available, due to the extraordinary global circumstances and prevailing war conditions in certain countries, leading to a significant disruption and in the interest of the safety of students, the board has decided to implement the following measures in exam centres located only in the middle-east region. 

  • The notification states that the remaining language papers for class 10 and class 12 students have been cancelled in all exam centres in the Middle East.
  • The social science exam for class 10 scheduled for March 7, 2026, is also cancelled in the Middle East centres
  • Marks for the cancelled exams will be awarded on a composite evaluation criteria, including continuous comprehensive evaluation, periodic tests, pre-board exams and relevant internal assessment throughout the academic year
