Basara IIIT Admission 2026: RGUKT Opens Applications for B.Tech Program

Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, RGUKT, has officially invited applications for its flagship six-year integrated B. Tech program for the academic year 2026-27. This residential program, primarily targeting high-achieving Class 10 students, is offered at the university’s Basar and Mahabubnagar campuses. The registration portal opened on March 18, 2026 and will remain open till May 10, 2026. The notification marks a critical window for students in Telangana and beyond to enter a structured path that combines two years of Pre-University Course (PUC) with four years of specialised engineering studies.

Basara IIIT Admission 2026: Key Dates and Application Process

According to the official schedule, the online application window for admission to RGUKT opened on March 18, 2026, following the release of the detailed notification. 

• Interested candidates have until May 10, 2026, to complete their online submissions via the official university website, rgukt.ac.in, or through the TS Online and MeeSeva Centres. 
• For candidates applying under special categories, such as PH, Physically Handicapped, CAP, Children of Armed Personnel, NCC, or Sports, a hard copy of the printed application must be sent by post to the university by May 20, 2026.
• The university plans to announce the provisional selection list for general categories on May 30, 2026, with the first phase of counselling tentatively scheduled to begin on June 5, 2026.

Basara IIIT Admission 2026: Eligibility and Fees Structure

Admissions are strictly merit-based, determined by the Grade Point Average, GPA. obtained in the SSC, class 10th, or equivalent examinations. The application fee is set at Rs. 500 for OC and BC candidates and Rs. 450 for SC and ST candidates from Telangana. Applicants from other states and international or NRI students have a different fee structure, with global seats attracting a fee of Rs. 1500 and NRI seats set at US Dollar 100.

This integrated model is designed to offer rural and meritorious students early access to world-class technical education, ensuring a seamless transition from secondary schooling to a professional engineering degree.
