J. K. Rowling was born on 31 July, 1965 in Yate, England. Since the tender age, she was a lover of reading and narration. She used to make up fantastical tales, which portrayed her artistic nature at a tender age. 

Rowling has gone through numerous hardships before he became famous. Her mother Anne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when JK Rowling was a teenager and her mother passed away in the year 1990. 

She has encountered financial predicaments and even against odds trying to cope with her child as a lone mother. In spite of these challenges, she never lost her love of writing.

Her life altered as she came up with a story of a young wizard Harry the Potter when they are on a train ride. 

That concept later turned out to be the Harry Potter series that went world-famous. At the time, she was rejected by many publishers but she did not stop trying. Her book was last accepted and the rest is history.

The work of J.K Rowling has had an immense influence on the literature and readers around the world. Her significant contributions are:
