Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is the scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government that provide ₹ 25000 to girls children under 6 stages starting from birth to graduation. 

The main objective of this scheme is to promote the girl child’s welfare, their education, and for gender equality.

This scheme was launched in April 2019, and 1.5 crore girls are beneficiaries covered under this scheme.

What are the eligibility criteria for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana?

The eligibility criteria for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is:

• Girl child must be permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

• Annual family income must be less than Rs. 3 lakh, including all sources of income.

• Maximum 2 children in family

• If any twins are born in their 2nd delivery, both girls are eligible.

• Adopted girl child is also eligible

• Bank accounts details must be either of mother or girl’s name with an Aadhar-linked account

How to apply for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana?

To apply for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://mksy.up.gov.in, and click on the citizen service portal (apply here).

2. For first-time users: Click on 'New User Registration' and verify your mobile number using the OTP

3. After the logging, you can click on the “Girl Child Registration".

4. Enter the birth detail of girl child, parents details, and income details.

5. Upload the required documents.

6. Enter the Aadhar Linked bank account details.

7. Submit the form, and you will receive the application reference number; keep it safe with you.

8. After the verification by District Probation Officer (DPO), the amount will be credited to your account.
