Let us find out the answers to today’s NYT Connections! Let us see how many you were able to get right!

Let’s take the time to review the groups one at a time and look at the connections that bind these four groups together.

What is the NYT Connections Game?

NYT Connections is a word puzzle put out daily by The New York Times. Each day’s is made up of 16 words in a 4 x 4 matrix that the player groups into 4 sets of 4 based on a common theme about that set of 4 words.

Similar to other word puzzles, the themes could be synonyms, references to pop culture, or phrases or concepts that are related to one another along with varying degrees of success based on colors to indicate level of difficulty.

Players have a limited number of mistakes before the round ends, and each player is able to demonstrate their ability to recognize patterns, understand vocabulary and think laterally within the confines of the puzzle.

Puzzles issued will all be new and provided each day allowing players to publish their results on a different online platform community without exposing their answer to anyone else who may see their results.

How to Play the NYT Connections Puzzle?

Your goal is to match four of the same cluster together by choosing all the words in each cluster that go together and submitting your selections to see if you were right or wrong.

If you chose the right four you will receive a color coded light to show how easy or hard it was for you to find all four words in your cluster.

If you are wrong, you lose a life! There are a limited number of chances before you run out! You should consider how to cluster that word and those clusters should be either a synonym, a phrase, some element of popular culture, or they might be a pun.

You should also consider that there may be other combinations of clusters as well. Once you have identified the four clusters, the game will automatically reset itself on The New York Times site or mobile application.

Best Strategies to Solve NYT Connections Puzzles

NYT Connections puzzles challenge us to think creatively about how to categorize words. Start by looking at all 16 of the words and try to find the most obvious groups. Then look for the less obvious ones (e.g., shared prefix or suffix). You should take your time; some words may look like they fit in several groups, but only one is correct!

Remove any of the easy matches from your groups in order to decrease the confusion caused by too many possible options. If you get stuck, think of a different way to view the words and see if you can find any patterns that you've missed in the past few tries. Regular practice will help you improve your ability to recognize patterns and remember them.

Finally, staying patient and open to the idea that the answer might not be a direct meaning but a clever, non-obvious association is crucial to successfully completing these types of puzzles.
