Sahitya Akademi Award 202: The Sahitya Akademi under the ministry of culture has officially announced the Sahitya Akademi Award 2025. The awards are prestigious annual awards for 2025, honoring outstanding literary contributions across 24 Indian languages. This year’s selection highlights the rich diversity of Indian letters, featuring 8 books of poetry, 4 novels, 6 short story collections, 2 sets of essays, 1 work of literary criticism, 1 autobiography, and 2 memoirs have won the Sahitya Akademi Awards 2025.
Each Sahitya Akademi Awards awardee will receive a casket containing an engraved copper plaque, a shawl, and a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000. The formal presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 31, 2026, in New Delhi.
