PM Internship Scheme 2026: The PM Internship scheme was launched as a pilot project in the year 2024. The Pitot Project of PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) was implemented across two rounds during FY 2024-25 and 2025-26. The Pilot Project has now been extended to December 2026, with a target of providing 1.10 takh internship opportunities. The internship can be of either 6 months or 9 months duration, depending on the nature of internship, sector and company requirement. The internship duration for already existing interns will be 12 months only. The interns will get a monthly assistance of 9,000 during the internship period.

In this scheme, the company provides an opportunity to the intern to get training, gain experience and skills in the real-life environment of the business or organization that helps in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, in turn, assisting enhancement of the employability. These interns are not going to be treated as employees of the company.

• On the homepage, look for the “Paid internships in top companies”.

• There will be logos of the companies, click on any company logo you wish to know the details about.

• All the internships offered by that company will be displayed on your screen. Look for the details.

• Now, click on the Login/Register button given on the homepage on the top right corner.

• Enter your Username/Mobile number and password and click on login.

• Now apply for the internship you wish to pursue.

Who is Eligible to Apply for PM Internship Scheme 2026?

The following candidates are eligible to apply for the OM Internship scheme 2026:

• Age Limit: Those who are aged between 18 and 25 years of age.

• Educational Qualifications:

• Candidates who have passed High School, Higher Secondary School, OR

• possess a certificate from an lTl, hold a diploma from a Polytechnic institute, OR

• are undergraduates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, B.E./B.Tech etc. OR

• Postgraduates with degrees such as MA, M.Sc., M.Com, MCA, M.Tech etc.

NOTE: Candidates enrolled in online or distance learning programs or candidates enrolled in the final year of full-time graduation or post-graduation are eligible to apply.

What is the Duration of PM Internship Scheme 2026?

The duration of the PM Internship shall be either 6 or 9 months depending on the nature of internship, sector and company requirement. At least half of the internship period must be spent in the actual working experience/ job environment, and not in the classroom.

It is clarified that internship duration for the existing interns of the pilot project will remain 12 months.
