Re-NEET 2026 vs NEET 2026 Difficulty Level: Re-Exam Question Paper Moderately Easier but Not Much Difference
The NEET 2026 re-examination has finally concluded across various centres. While most students said that the paper was easier than the May 3 examination conducted by NTA, they were not more confident of having done better than the original paper.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2026 re-examination or Re-NEET has finally concluded across various centres. Nearly 22.79 lakh students reportedly appeared for the examination today. Students who have appeared for the examination again had different sentiment when leaving the examination halls. While most said that the paper was easier than the May 3 examination conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency), they were not more confident of having done better than the original paper.
Experts are still in the process of analysing the question paper and sharing detailed analysis. Student reactions, however, have started to come back from the various examination centres. Jagran Josh team spoke with students and asked how they compared the two examinations. Here is what students had to say
Re-NEET Exam Reactions: Question Paper Easier that May 3 exam, say students
The larger consensus received from students was that the question paper for today’s examination was easier than the May 3 examination, but just barely. Many students pointed out that Physics section was lengthier today than it was in the May 3 examination. A few also pointed out that there were clearer and more direct questions this time.

Sophie, one of the aspirants shared that she felt it was easier because maybe she was able to prepare for the chapters she had not been able to attempt well in the May 3 examination. She said she was hopeful of clearing NEET paper but expects that the cut off may rise.
Another set of students from Noida’s examination centre in Sector 143 said that they could not really compare the two examinations. He also shared that difficulty level was comparable and many students were not in the best of spirits while writing the examination again.
Biology was called good overall. Students also said that Physics and Chemistry was reported to be lengthier by more than one student. More updates are awaited. Mixed Reactions were received. Some students found the previous paper was easier than today’s paper.
