PSEB Board: Punjab School of Education Board, PSEB is facing growing criticism over its digital evaluation system introduced for the 2026 Board exams. The initiative was aimed at modernising the answer sheet checking process, which has now run into difficulties as teachers report multiple technical challenges during implementation.
Teachers involved in the evaluation process have raised concerns about frequent power outages and unreliable internet connectivity. These issues have made it difficult to access and review scanned answer sheets smoothly, leading to delays in assessment work. In some cases, teachers have also reported system slowdowns and interruptions while marking papers online.

Challenges in the Digital Evaluation System
The digital evaluation system was introduced to replace traditional manual checking, wth the goal to improve accuracy and speed up result declaration. However, the transition has not been seamless. Especially in areas where digital infrastructure remains limited. Teachers have also pointed out that adapting to the new system requires proper training and technical support, which they claim is currently insufficient.
Many believe that without addressing these issues, the evaluation process could face further disruptions. Despite the concerns, the board continues to emphasise the long-term benefits of digital evaluation, including transparency and reduced errors. Authorities are expected to review the feedback from teachers and take necessary steps to ensure smoother functioning of the system in the coming weeks.
