NTA Issues Grievance Advisory For Students Raising Queries On NEET, JEE, Other Exams
NTA has issued a grievance advisory for students appearing for NEET UG, JEE, CUET and other exams. Candidates have been asked to include basic details and mention their application number, examination name and other essential details while submitting queries to help the agency address grievances efficiently.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for students raising grievances or queries related to examinations such as NEET UG, JEE, CUET and other entrance tests conducted by the agency. Candidates have been asked to provide essential details, including the name of the examination, application number and other relevant information, while submitting their concerns.
The agency said that when such basic details are missing from a grievance request, it becomes difficult to identify and verify the candidate from the large number of students who appear for these examinations. Around 20 lakh candidates appear for NEET UG and around 15 lakh candidates for JEE, highlighting the scale at which such requests are received.
NTA Receives Large Number Of Grievances
The NTA said it receives a ālarge volume of grievancesā every day through social media platforms and email. With thousands of candidates contacting the agency for different examination-related issues, providing complete information can help officials understand the matter and take appropriate action without unnecessary delays.
Students may raise concerns related to examination procedures, application-related issues, results, answer keys, counselling-related information or other matters, depending on the examination and the stage of the admission process. However, candidates should first check the relevant information bulletin and official notices before sending a grievance.
NTA Student Advisory For Timely Grievance Addressal
According to the advisory, students should follow these steps while submitting their concerns:
- Candidates must briefly explain their concern and attach relevant supporting documents wherever required.
- The grievance should be sent to the dedicated helpdesk email ID meant for the particular examination. Examination-specific email IDs are available on the NTAās official website, nta.ac.in, and in the respective information brochure.
- Students should send the email only from the email ID that was used while registering for the examination.
- The candidateās application number should be clearly mentioned in the subject line of the email.
- Students should clearly mention the name of the examination related to their grievance.
- Supporting documents should be clear and relevant to the issue being reported.
Providing these details is particularly important when the concern involves an individual candidateās application, examination record or result. Complete information can also reduce the need for repeated communication between the candidate and the agency.

ā National Testing Agency (@NTA_Exams) September 3, 2026
NTA receives a large volume of grievances every day through email and social media. Many of these, unfortunately, do not carry basic identifying details, making it very difficult for our team to trace the candidateā¦
The NTA has advised candidates to use the appropriate official channel for their examination-related concerns instead of sending incomplete requests across multiple platforms. Students should also keep a copy of their grievance and any supporting documents submitted for future reference.
āThese advisories are important to be considered by students to ensure their concerns are addressed on time,ā the NTA said.
āNTA is fully committed to addressing every candidateās concern with fairness and diligence. A little clarity from your side helps us serve you better and faster,ā the agency posted on X.
Students appearing for NTA examinations are therefore advised to carefully check the official examination website and information bulletin for the correct grievance mechanism before contacting the agency.
