Following the widespread paper leak of the NEET UG Exam paper, which was conducted on May 3, 2026, NTA has released an official notification regarding the important concerns of the students for the Re-examination of the NEET UG 2026 paper to be held on June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM in pen-and-paper format, across its various exam centres. This latest notification aims to resolve students' confusion regarding the logistics and financial reimbursements.
NEET UG Re-Exam FAQs: Fee Refund and Exam City Preferences
A major and important primary concern for many of the NEET UG aspirants is the fees regarding the second exam, which is to be held on June 21, 2026.
- In the notice National Testing Agency has clarified that there will be no additional fees charged for the re-exam.
- Furthermore, a dedicated module for submitting bank details to process the refund of the original examination fees will be made live on the official website by May 21, 2026.
- For students who have relocated after appearing for the initial exam, the NTA has provided a limited window to update their Present Address and their preferred exam city.
- This facility is made available to the student from May 15, 2026, until May 21, 2026, by 11:50 PM. However, the NTA has also noted that the specific exam centre may change due to the randomised allocation process.
NEET UG Re-Exam FAQs: Important Rules for the June 21 Exam
National Testing Agency has strictly ruled out any changes to the medium of the examination; the preferred language which was selected during the first exam application will remain final. The exam will continue to be conducted in 13 languages, which are as follows:-

Candidates are being offered an extra 15 minutes of exam duration, specifically marked for mandatory verification formalities and documentation at the exam centre. With the re-exam date now officially released, the NTA has urged all students to resolve any remaining grievances via the official helpdesk as mentioned in the notification.
